Still one of my fave places to dine in Long Beach. Great ambience and impeccable service. My staple starter here is the pita bread with their roasted beets hummus...amazing! I also love their skewers, particularly the chicken and ribeye steak, so the Ammatoli mixed mashawi is always a great option. The spicy lemon garlic chicken platter is also another good one when I'm feeling hungrier. The ouzi lamb chops is another popular item here. Really tender flavorful meat. Their variety of beverages are delicious, particularly the iced tea and the mint lemonade. Most recently tried their pot of hot tea...a lovely display of blended black tea in a copper pot with sugar, fresh mint and lemon on the side.

Took my mom and family here for a good dinner. Three way mezza was delish, some beet hummus, spicy, and another kind I forgot. Got the large family share plate with sirloin, salmon, kafta and lamb. Added the spicy chicken too. The paid pita bread is delicious but note they do have a free complimentary one, but won't tell you until you order the paid one. Wine was good and bottles for under $50. Ambiance was nice inside and the server knew his stuff so we mainly had him (Dane) chose for us.

Beautiful setting. Ammatoli staff was kind enough to seat us without a reservation - thank you! Bright and airy inside. Busy but service is quick and steady. The chicken shawarma with hummus was delicious and I couldn't stop eating it. The beet hummus was the crowd pleaser. Pita is fresh and fluffy but not doughy. Winner of the table: halloumi with mint and watermelon. Fresh and flavorful! Wished we tried the falafel but we already had plenty on the table. Thank goodness we WALKED. I ordered the Turkish coffee, was as expected. Lovely presentation. Nice, extensive wine list. Presentation is one thing, and Ammatoli nails it. But the flavors and textures of each dish are damn near perfect. Tasty food, beautiful setting, deliciously diverse crowd - TRIFECTA!

Soooo sooo good! A lovely take on Mediterranean food! Server recommended a chicken dish..was delish! Service was A+. Got a few of the dip/apps and a fish dish.. Just don't sit right inside by the door...was really breezy and cold...but they were really nice about keeping the door closed when possible.

Ammatoli, a polished Mediterranean establishment helmed by Chef Dimah Habibeh, offers a distinguished take on HALAL Levantine cuisine. Given its popularity as a Long Beach hotspot, reservations are highly advisable. Conveniently, nearby parking structures provide two hours of complimentary parking (with Lot C being the closest). My group opted for a sharing format, beginning with the Msakhan chicken rolls ($21). These oven-baked delights, featuring four pieces of sumac-marinated chicken and caramelized onions nestled in flatbreads, provided an excellent introduction to the meal. Next, I ventured into the realm of manoushe ($15, with a $4 addition for soujouk). While the concept of this thin, baked flatbread piqued my interest, I ordered it with Awlaki cheese and soujouk. Regrettably, this selection proved to be the evening's low point. Frankly, I've encountered superior renditions elsewhere, especially considering the price tag. The grilled kebab plate ($28, with a $3 upcharge for lamb kabob) redeemed itself admirably. This offering comprised two skewers of succulent and tender kebabs (I opted for both grilled chicken and lamb), accompanied by a choice of two sides and rice with vermicelli noodles. The lamb, in particular, stood out with its exceptional flavor profile and flawless preparation. As accompaniments, I selected the tabbouleh salad and spicy hummus - both vibrant in taste and perfectly complementing the addictive, freshly baked pita bread (priced at $6 for three pieces). For dessert, we embarked on a journey of contrasting experiences. The Osmalieh ice cream ($18) featured a visually appealing presentation, combining crispy phyllo dough, milk pudding, dates, ice cream, Ghazel Banat (cotton candy strands), and pistachios. While enjoyable for the group, the price point left room for improvement. A Date with cake ($16), on the other hand, emerged as a crowd-pleaser. This date cake, served with ice cream and caramel sauce, truly impressed our group and emerged as a dessert highlight. In conclusion, Ammatoli delivers a refined Mediterranean experience with undeniably flavorful dishes. While the overall pricing leans towards the upscale side, select menu items, like the manoushe and desserts, could benefit from a more value-conscious approach. Despite these reservations, the culinary journey, particularly the exceptional grilled kebabs, warrants a visit.

Absolutely amazing! Everything from the freshly made pitas & hummus appetizer to the lamb skewers were delicious. Cameron was friendly and knowledgeable of the dishes. I will definitely be back. If you're looking for authentic Levantine cuisine, Ammatoli is a must!

I wanna go back here STAT! Make reservations! They don't have many seats inside and if you're going to come, enjoy the ambiance of the inside. Such a cute restaurant and decor. The food is excellent. Heightened penances / Middle East food that's just crafty made with perfect touch dipping and even aesthetics. I throughly enjoyed this place and would like to come back to try other dishes. Excellent service and food deserves a revisit.

Food: I usually don't choose Mediterranean cuisine when going out for food, but this was an exception. My friends and I were all going in blind, having never been here before, but very glad we trusted yelp to guide us. I started off with mint lemonade, which was refreshing and perfect balance of sweet sour. They told me that their falafel was the best, and I completely agree. Spicy garlic lemon chicken and grilled kebab were amazingly juicy and tender, the meat just melted in my mouth. But ugh the moussaka! I never knew such a dish existed, this Mediterranean lasagna was an absolute delight, full of flavor and warm with generous amount of cheese. Our dessert Osmalieh ice cream was also fantastic, great way to finish off a satisfying meal. Price: Mezza dishes ranged from $8-18, other bigger lunch plates ranged $18-28. I would say they're more on the expensive side, but still worth the money given how much I enjoyed the food here Ambiance: In downtown Long Beach, beautiful interior inside, great for dates and fancy hangout with friends, or even for celebratory lunch/dinners with family Service: My friends and I were struggling with our orders, not sure which one we should share and how much food there will be. But thankfully, our waitress Tina took the time to really explain everything. I felt more at ease, she was so nice and bubbly and cheerful, her lovely presence added to our experience. Parking: I ended up parking in the City Place C parking structure, I believe it was free for the first 2 hours. Seemed secure, and close to the restaurant.

The food was a 10/10. Service was fast and friendly (: Cozy atmosphere to hang out by yourself or dine in with others!

Visited with my parents for dinner. We liked the vibes and all agreed every single dish was great. Thanks Pete for the food recommendations and excellent service! We ate: house-made pita, the 3 choice mezza with hummus, mutabbal eggplant dip, and grape leaves. The lamb chops and spicy garlic lemon chicken, and for dessert the knafeh.
